What is my Approach?
I have an eclectic, flexible approach to psychotherapy. Although I was trained primarily in Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), which focuses on changing dysfunctional thinking patterns and behaviours, I also draw on approaches such as Emotion-Focussed Therapy, Mindfulness, Client-Centred, and dynamic approaches, to name a few. My approach changes depending on the type of presenting problem, as well as the type of client. My goal, as a psychologist, is that you feel understood, supported, and listened to. My hope is that this occurs in a relaxed environment, which supports your capacity to make changes.
